Type 09: Double & Triple Eccentric Butterfly Valves

In double eccentric butterfly valves, the stem (or stub shaft) is positioned offset from the center of the disc, creating a design that minimizes friction during operation. This offset allows the disc to move away from the seat as it opens, ensuring a tight seal while reducing wear over time. Compared to concentric designs, this feature enhances sealing performance and extends the valve's lifespan, especially in larger sizes. These valves are ideal for underground water supply applications and offer a cost-effective alternative to gate valves.
Triple eccentric butterfly valves add a third offset, which nearly eliminates friction between the disc and the seat, ensuring zero leakage even under extreme conditions. This design enhances durability and reduces actuation torque, making them suitable for demanding applications in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, and power generation.
